MANILA - SM Prime Holdings Inc said Tuesday it would open five malls outside Metro Manila this year.

The new malls include SM CDO Downtown Premier in Cagayan de Oro, SM Cherry Antipolo in Rizal, SM Center Tuguegarao Downtown in Cagayan, SM City Puerto Princesa in Palawan and SM Center Lemery in Batangas.

The company owned by tycoon Henry Sy said it would spend at least P50 million every year over the next two years for its expansion projects, SM Prime told the stock exchange.
