MRT to offer free rides to Filipino veterans from April 5-11

MANILA - Filipino veterans can avail of free rides on the MRT from April 5 to 11 in line with the celebration of the Day of Valor, the Department of Transportation said Thursday.

Free rides will be available from 5:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. and can also be availed by one companion of the veteran, the DOTr said on its Twitter account.

Malacañang earlier declared April 9 a regular holiday in honor of the country's soldiers and other fighters killed in Bataan and Corregidor during World War II.
