MANILA – BDO Unibank said Friday it posted a record P26.1-billion net income last year, meeting its guidance.

The bank said strong results in its core businesses drove growth of 4.4 percent from the P25-billion net income it reported in 2015.

BDO said its loan portfolio grew 16 percent to P1.5 trillion while total deposits rose 15 percent to P1.9 trillion. Net interest income was up 15 percent to P65.6 billion.
