Policewoman allegedly raped by fellow cop

A rookie policeman was allegedly raped by a senior officer in Puerto Princesa, Palawan, an official said Wednesday. 

The female victim, who has a rank of police officer 1, was guarding a training center with another officer when the suspect allegedly invited her to go on patrol with him, said Puerto Princesa police chief Senior Supt. Ronnie Carriaga.

The suspect, a police officer 3, allegedly took the victim to the building's second floor and raped her, Carriaga told radio DZMM. 

The suspect is an instructor in a marine trooper training program that the victim was taking, he added. 

Other instructors accosted the suspect and turned him over to a police station. He is facing a criminal complaint, said Carriaga.
