Businessmen on the island must tap all stakeholders, including residents, said Partnerships in Environmental Management for the Seas of East Asia officer Renato Cardinal. "Gone are the days that we only focus in one sector like what happened in Boracay long ago," he told ANC. "The implementation of integrated coastal management should be a multi-sector approach—tourism, the residents. Other uses of this area should be looked into, like fisheries," he said. Boracay was reopened to the public last Friday with strict new rules, including limiting the number of tourists on the island at one time. -- ANC Dateline, October 28, 2018, Sunday Share Facebook Share on Twitter LinkedIn Tourism, Environment, Boracay, PEMSEA, Boracay closure, ANC Read More: Tourism Environment Boracay PEMSEA Boracay closure ANC
