Philippine National Police spokesman Bernard Banac is okay and is now being attended to by doctors after figuring in a helicopter crash in Laguna Thursday morning.

"Wala po siyang bad injuries. All are being attended to. Pagdasal lang natin na maging maayos ang kanilang health," PNP Deputy Spokesperson Kimberly Molitas told radio DZMM.

Banac was on the 2-year old Bell 429 chopper with PNP chief Archie Gamboa, Major Generals Jovic Ramos and Mariel Magaway, his comptroller ship and intelligence heads, respectively; an aide, a technician and 2 pilots, the PNP Public Information Office said.

Molitas said the twin-engine Bell helicopter that crashed had been used several times even by the previous PNP chief, and had not figured in any accident.
