MANILA -- Unknown to many, a number of the Italianni’s branches open their doors early to serve breakfast. The Bonifacio High Street, Festival Mall, and Ayala North Exchange restaurants open as early as 8 a.m. to serve hearty meals for early risers.

Italianni’s has a total of 15 branches that open early, exclusively serving food from their breakfast menu until 10:30 a.m.

For starters, Italianni’s has started to roll out bean to cup coffee machines. As a result, it now has an expanded selection of espresso and coffee drinks.

Classic breakfast pancakes and waffles. Jeeves de Veyra 

Pair your coffee with a golden waffle, or a heaping stack of banana pancakes for those with a sweet tooth.

Eggs Benedict is the star. Jeeves de Veyra

The Eggs Benedict is the must-order from the breakfast menu. Italianni’s version comes with kouign amann instead of the usual muffins. This is best enjoyed with an upgrade of prosciutto to make it a complete meal.

Arroz Caldo and Tsamporado. Jeeves de Veyra

For those looking for rice, the restaurant offers a hefty serving of Arroz Caldo, this one with mushrooms; and Tsamporado, with both tablea and white chocolate topped with dried fish.

Itallianni’s Special. Jeeves de Veyra

Speaking of rice, the silogs are both hefty and tasty. There are the usual tapsilogs, longsilog, and tocilog. The best plates to get are the combination plates. The Italliani’s Special has tocino, tapa, and adobo with a generous heap of garlic rice, or the Three-Meat Delight that replaces the adobo with longganisa.

Pancetta Silog. Jeeves de Veyra

The Pancettasilog is as close to an Italian silog as one can get. This is like a breaded thick fatty slice of bacon that’s excellent with vinegar and silog.

For those who prefer fish, Italianni’s has an option of sardines or grilled bangus.

The Italianni’s breakfast menu has something for everybody, whether you’re rushing to the office or cooling down after a morning run or bike ride.
