The Bureau of Internal Revenue said Wednesday it would keep the June 15 deadline for filing of income tax returns to help fund the government's battle against the coronavirus pandemic.

Philippine law set the filing of ITRs on April 15 every year but it was moved to June 15 after the Luzon lockdown period was extended.

(We are notifying our compatriots, we will not have another extension. There will be no more leeway because the government needs taxes.)

Tax returns can be filed online and outside the city where a business is located, he said.
