Amid debates on whether former President Ferdinand Marcos should be buried at the Libingan ng mga Bayani, a new page in the saga just unfolded.

There is now a proposal to change the name of this famed cemetery to justify, albeit begrudgingly, Marcos’ entombment.

The measure was filed by Kabayan Partylist Representative Harry Roque, who said that the cemetery should be renamed to “Libingan ng mga Bayani at mga Dating Pangulo.”

But the suggestion was ridiculed almost as soon as news about it spread in social media.
