MANILA - Funny and bitter memes and messages spread in social media as local fast-food giant Jollibee released a series of heart-wrenching advertisements days before Valentine's Day.
In its "Vow" ad, ChickenJoy turned into ChickenSad after a guy did not get the happily-ever-after he deserved as his "JolliBae" only considered him as a "JolliBes."
Netizens felt sad for the "best friend," who became the poster boy for "those who found joy in loving unconditionally."
Some people were too emotional after watching the video.
Others opted to put a happy twist to the heartache brought by the video clip.
The second installment entitled, "Crush", Jollibee's YumBurger was used to convey a secret admirer's feelings.
The ad was dedicated "to those who never gave up on love", but as expected, Filipinos managed to inject humor between those buns and patties.
