Quiambao finished with 22 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists in their win, and he explained that these numbers signify the role that he will be playing for the Taft-based team — being La Salle's undisputed leader.

The Muntinlupa native added that there was a conscious effort for him to improve his playmaking arsenal further during the offseason to carry the load that their previous guard had, and he said that he has been committed to it right after their championship run.

"This season, work in progress kami," he insisted. "Kailangan namin one percent better every game mula sa last season namin. Good thing naman na yung team namin, yung chemistry binubuo [ni Coach Topex] every game. Yung confidence at freedom binibigay niya, so yung system namin positionless na ngayon. Kung sino yung may advantage, dun kami pupunta."
