Dubbed as the "Alas Pilipinas Invitationals," the event will be a part of the one-year countdown for the country's hosting of the 2025 FIVB Men's World Championship.

Alas Women will be facing the Saga Hisamitsu Springs, home of Japanese hitter Miyu Nagaoka, while the Men's team will try to defy national team superstar Yuji Nishida and the Osaka Bluteon.

The Women's team will likely play without captain Jia de Guzman, who has re-signed with the Denso Airybees for the upcoming Japan SV.League season.
