MANILA -- The remaining Day 2 matches of the 2024 UAAP Esports VALORANT Tournament were postponed due to internet connectivity issues near the conclusion of the first match of the day at Hyundai Hall, Arete Ateneo in Quezon City.

Commissioner Monique Monasterio and league operations head Ades Amorato, in coordination with Cignal, UAAP's broadcast partner, announced the postponement of the remaining Wednesday group stage matches.

The announcement came five hours after the match between UST and UP was halted, with the teams tied at 11 in Game 2. UP won the opening game in overtime, 14-12.

The remaining group stage matches will be held behind closed doors at Dark League Studios on Thursday.

The games will be broadcast on One Sports’ YouTube channel, Pilipinas Live, the Varsity Channel, and One Sports.

The venue for the playoffs is still to be determined.

If UP wins its match against UST tomorrow, it will take the solo lead in Group B, but a Teletigers win will force a tie for the top spot.

De La Salle University (three points) and Adamson University (three points) are currently tied for first place in Group A.
