Coach Aldin Ayo, Converge part ways ahead of PBA Season 49

MANILA – Converge has parted ways with Aldin Ayo alongside assistant coach McJour Luib, the team announced Thursday on its social media accounts.

The team, which is undergoing major staff changes just three weeks before the upcoming season, will be led in the meantime by FiberXers assistant coach Franco Atienza.

Team manager Jacob Lao said both parties agreed to the development as he thanked the coaches for their service to the Converge team.

"It was a mutually agreed decision for both parties to part ways," Lao said.

"We are thankful for their dedicated service to the team for almost two years," he went on.

One of their more notable results under Ayo's leadership were quarterfinal appearances in the Season 47 Commissioner's Cup and Governors' Cup.

Ayo replaced coach Jeffrey Cariaso as head mentor in its first-ever tourney.
