Filipino sports fans can watch the events -- from the opening up until the closing ceremonies -- via the Smart LiveStream App, which is downloadable on the Google Play Store and App Store.

Among those who were qualified to the Summer Games are EJ Obiena of athletics and pole vault, Carlos Yulo of artistic gymnastics, Nesthy Petecio, Aira Villegas, and Hergie Bacyadan of women's boxing, Eumir Marcial and Carlo Paalam of men's boxing, and John Ceniza, Elreen Ando, and Vanessa Sarno of weightlifting.
