MANILA -- Filipina mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Denice Zamboanga showcased her quality in a comfortable unanimous decision win over Noelle Grandjean at ONE 167, Saturday at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.

"The Menace" displayed her striking and conditioning against Grandjean, picking the Thai-French judoka apart on the feet and landing heavy strikes. Zamboanga's accuracy left Grandjean with a swollen right eye early in the bout.

Grandjean managed a throw late in the first round, but Zamboanga quickly reversed their positions and attempted a rear-naked choke.

She did not get the submission win but Zamboanga dominated the rest of the way, evading damage from Grandjean who had been called up as a late replacement for the fight after ONE women's atomweight champion Stamp Fairtex withdrew from the card due to a knee injury.

All three judges gave the nod to Zamboanga, who improved to 11-2 in her career.

In the main event, ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion Tawanchai PK. Saenchai once again escaped the upset-conscious “Smokin” Jo Nattawut, beating his compatriot via majority decision in their  action packed rematch in the card’s headliner. 

ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Rodtang “The Iron Man” Jitmuangnon had a successful return in kickboxing as he bested a determined Denis “The Bosnian Menace” Puric via unanimous decision in their 141.25lb catchweight bout co-main event.
