MANILA - Ukrainian esports organization Natus Vincere has acquired Pinoy prodigy Alexandre "AK" Laverez ahead of the Saudi Arabian Esports World Cup. 

Riding on the momentum of his Combo Breaker 2024 win in Illinois, AK described his transfer to NAVI as his "second happiest day." 

NAVI is best known for its Counter Strike and Dota 2 teams, having won global titles such as The International. 

AK in end-May nabbed his first US title in Tekken under Combo Breaker 2024, beating reigning Tekken world champ Arslan Ash, 3-2 in the Grand Finals.

AK also qualified for the Esports World Cup after placing 5th in Dreamhack, held in Dallas, Texas a week after his Combo Breaker stint.  

AK is just one of the many Pinoy players and teams being acquired by Esports World Cup Federation members, such as Liquid ECHO, FNATIC Onic, Falcons AP Bren, among others. NAVI is a member of the Esports World Cup federation.

Veteran organization Cloud9 also recently acquired the MLBB team of BloodThirstyKings of which includes Pinoys Peter "Basic" Lozano and Chris "Mielow" Enobio. Veteran MLBB caster and analyst Neil “Midnight” De Guzman is one of the coaches.
