Team Secret puts NDG on reserve

MANILA --Team Secret has released Jim “BORKUM” Timbreza from the organization, the team announced.

“It is with a heavy heart that we are announcing BORKUM's departure from the squad. He has been a long-time friend to all of us and we wish him the best for his next adventure,” Team Secret said in a Facebook post.

BORKUM joined Team Secret in 2021 from the former Bren Esports squad, along with him WITZ, Dispenser, Dubstep, and JessieVash as the original franchise players. Of Team Secret's franchise players, only JessieVash remains, alongside young stars Adrian "Invy" Reyes and Jeremy "Jremy" Cabrera.

The team made its international debut in Valorant Champions 2021 after garnering enough circuit points from their previous campaigns under Bren.

Throughout his tenure as a professional Valorant player for Team Secret, he was the mainstay controller, or the team’s smokes guy — providing cover for the site’s chokepoints.

His clutch plays from his time with Bren and up to now made him known for “BORKUM time.”

Meanwhile, not even six months into his tenure, Noel "NDG" Guia was placed under a reserve role.

"Unfortunately, I'll be on the reserve roster for now.  It was fun, and I enjoyed the journey, experience, and lessons I gained with this team. I'll take this time to improve myself in all aspects," NDG shared.

NDG joined Team Secret in early 2024 as a mainstay sentinel for the team.
