"I think I was most excited when I looked at my team before I went and they had all the trust and all the confidence in the world in me," Finnegan recalled. "I was the best thing that I can bring out to that routine."

The 21-year-old is no stranger to winning. She previously represented the Philippines in the 2021 Southeast Asian Games and brought home two gold medals for the country.

While her performances helped bring the first national championship to LSU, she is hoping that 2024 can bring an Olympic medal for the Philippines.

In October, Finnegan qualified for the Olympics after finishing in the Top 14 of the women's all-around qualification at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Belgium.
