MANILA, Philippines – Rookie Chris Hubilla flirted with a triple-double in Mapua University's triumph over Colegio de San Juan de Letran, 86-78, in the NCAA Season 100 men's basketball tournament on Friday at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.

Hubilla showed his all-around performance, posting 19 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists as the Cardinals logged their ninth win in 12 games, also stretching their winning streak to three.

A tied ballgame at the half, 44-all, they rode on a huge third quarter to pull away and outscored the depleted Knights side, 22-15.

Several players completed the supporting cast for Mapua, with JC Recto listing 14 points, John Jabonete had 13 points, and Lawrence Mangubat chipped in 10 points.

James Miller and Kobe Monje paced the Jimboy Estrada-less Letran with 14 points each. They fell to a 6-6 win-loss card.
