June Mar Fajardo remains the favorite to win the 2019 PBA Most Valuable Award despite San Miguel Beer's early exit from the Governors' Cup.

In a discussion on "The Score" Friday, basketball analyst Jett Manuel said the Beermen, winners of the Philippine Cup and Commissioner's Cup championships, will go as far as Fajardo takes them.

"When you think of a team like San Miguel, who is the person you're gonna plan for? June Mar Fajardo," said Manuel.

"You take him a way, San Miguel will be a completely different team."

College-basketball coach and basketball commentator Topex Robinson agreed.

"He makes his teammates look good by being the best player of that team," he said, adding that Fajardo is not just a great basketball player but also a stand-up guy off the court.

" 'Pag nakita ko si June Mar na nalaglag or ano, I'm not saying, 'Buti nga.' When I look at June Mar and he falls, I hope he could get up and he'd be OK," said Robinson.

Fajardo has won the past 5 PBA MVPs, an unprecedented feat.
