MANILA, Philippines – Controversial boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. has come up with an internet meme bashing Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao yet again.

The meme, posted on Mayweather’s official Facebook page, made fun of Pacquiao’s pursuit to arrange a superfight with the American boxer.

The photo was posted around 2 a.m. Manila time and has already garnered over 6,500 comments in just an hour’s time.

The first part of the meme referred to the telephone conversation between Pacquiao and Mayweather in January 2012, wherein the American made a $40 million offer for the mega bout. Pacquiao turned down the offer, citing that he deserved to get 50% of the fight revenue.

The second part of the meme showed Pacquiao desperately praying for the same offer after being knocked out by Juan Manuel Marquez in December 2012.

Mayweather already made it clear that he won’t be giving Pacquiao the fight since the Filipino remains connected to Top Rank Inc. CEO Bob Arum.

"We all know the Pacquiao fight, at this particular time, will never happen, and the reason why the fight won't happen is because I will never do business with Bob Arum again in life,” the boxer said in an earlier report.

The meme has elicited contrasting reactions from the social media.

There were those who criticized Mayweather for coming up with the photo.

“You're a great fighter, but desperate for posting this. That what makes Pac a better man,” said Cindy Agcolicol Lacewell.

“But here's the problem doh Floyd is scared to fight him doh. So fighting washed up and old fighters and fight a real fight,” said Fard Abdullah.

“You're one cocky [expletive] i hope he knocks you off your high horse,” said Devin Black.

“Man ur all talk...if u wanted to fight the Man U would have fought him already. It's just excuse after excuse out of you. Step up to the plate...” said Pawel Sie.

And there were others who sided with the undefeated American boxer.

“Why would you fight someone who is opposed to frequent drug testing. Tell ya boy Pac man, take all the test if he wanna fight the best an get the most money he ever made win or lose!!!” said Miles Champion.

“Floyed is the best pound for pound boxer in the world and he's proved that over and over again! #Moneyteam,” said Omar Rodriguez.
