MANILA, Philippines—Even a bout with the flu could not stop Filipina veteran Josie Gabuco from winning her fifth title in Southeast Asian Games boxing.

Gabuco landed several flush right hands and overcame the height and reach advantage of Indonesia's Endang to win the women's light flyweight gold medal by unanimous decision.

"Tina-trangkaso ako," the 32-year-old Gabuco revealed after her match.

Despite knowing she was not at 100%, Gabuco had more than enough to outpoint her foe and secure a fifth SEA Games gold, to add to the ones she won in 2009, 2011, 2013, and 2015.
