MANILA, Philippines—Eumir Felix Marcial showed why he remains a cut above the rest after a swift victory in the middleweight finals in the 30th Southeast Asian Games boxing competition at the PICC Forum on Monday.

Marcial, already the owner of two SEA Games gold medals, added a third to his collection in devastating fashion.

He gave Vietnam's Nguyen Manh Cuong no chance in their gold medal match, as Marcial took just 30 seconds to land a vicious punch that forced the referee to give his foe a standing eight count.

Nguyen continued, but Marcial would not be denied. He overwhelmed the Vietnamese fighter with a barrage of punches, and sent him sprawling to the canvas moments later. This time, the referee called off the bout.
