MANILA, Philippines—Hidilyn Diaz stamped her class in the women's 55-kg division to win the Southeast Asian Games weightlifting gold medal in dominant fashion at Ninoy Aquino Stadium on Monday afternoon.

In front of a partisan Filipino crowd, Diaz lifted a combined 211-kg in the snatch and the clean-and-jerk.

Diaz lifted 91 kg in the snatch, and then 120 kg in the clean-and-jerk for a sensational performance.

It is the first SEA Games gold medal for Diaz, who already has an Olympic silver medal and an Asian Games gold medal in her collection.
