MANILA, Philippines -- University of Santo Tomas (UST) celebrated the individual achievement of its players ahead of Game 2 of the UAAP Season 82 men's basketball finals.

Soulemane Chabi Yo formally received the Most Valuable Player award, while Mark Nonoy lifted the Rookie of the Year trophy.

The Beninese Chabi Yo is the first Growling Tiger to earn MVP honors since Dylan Ababou in 2009. UST also had an MVP-ROY double that year, with Jeric Teng earning the nod as top rookie.

Joining Chabi Yo in the Mythical Team were De La Salle University's Jamie Malonzo and Justine Baltazar, University of the East's Rey Suerte, and University of the Philippines' Kobe Paras.
