MANILA, Philippines – Far Eastern University (FEU) veterans Monbert Arong and Raymar Jose were both quick to move on from the Tamaraws' poorly executed final play in their 59-61 loss to Adamson University last Sunday.

Trailing 59-60 with still 3.8 seconds to go, the Tamaraws got the ball to Arong, who turned and promptly drove into a double team. He was whistled for a traveling violation, and the Falcons were able to ice the game at the line with eight-tenths of a second to go.

The loss ended FEU's seven-game winning streak and allowed Adamson to clinch at least a playoff for a Final Four spot.

After the game, Arong acknowledged that the final play was not supposed to run through him.

"And then, 'yung tendency na-travel tuloy ako," said Jose, who have previously hit a game-winner for FEU when they played National University earlier in the second round.

Jose admitted that he made some mistakes, as he went to his spot too early and then found himself well-defended.

Nevertheless, both Arong and Jose stressed that the game is now over and done with, and all they can do is bounce back in their next contest on Wednesday.

"Ganoon talaga," said Arong.

"Maganda naman 'yung hustle namin sa game," he also said.

Moreover, Jose pointed out that it is better for them to lose now, so as to take the lessons from the defeat into the Final Four. "Madadala namin ito," he said.
