Barangay Ginebra is expected to get ample support from fans when it tries to close out Meralco Bolts in Game 6.

But the Gin Kings will get added boost Wednesday night as Barangay Ginebra’s most popular figure, Robert “Sonny” Jaworski, is set to make an appearance at the Araneta Coliseum for Game 6 of the PBA Governors’ Cup Finals.

Jaworski’s son, Dodot, hinted his father’s attendance for Game 6 through Twitter.

Earlier, Ginebra coach Tim Cone said a pep talk from Jaworski will certainly work wonders on the Gin Kings’ psyche heading to the game.

Ginebra is just one win away from ending an eight-year title drought and Cone believes that the Kings can use some inspiration from one of the greatest motivators in PBA history.

“If indeed he is coming, I hope he can drop by in the locker room and talk to the players a little bit,” said Cone in FOX Sports Asia.

“It’s (Jaworski’s presence) gonna fire me up. I know him so well. Big J, he is a legend, and that’s gonna fire me up that’s for sure and I’m sure its gonna fire up this guys.”
