Samboy Lim daughter wins karate gold in Turkey tournament

Jamie Berberabe Lim, daughter of PBA legend Avelino "Samboy" Lim, won a gold medal in the 2019 Amatör Spor Haftasi Karate Championship in Sakarya province, Turkey over the weekend.

According to a Facebook post by Karate Pilipinas Sports Federation, the national governing body, Lim dominated her way to the gold in the under 68 kilograms kumite.

Lim is Samboy's daughter with former Pag-Ibig Fund CEO Darlene Berberabe.

Lim is part of the national team undergoing a 2-month training camp in Turkey in preparation for this next month's Southeast Asian Games.
