MANILA, Philippines – The NCAA is likely to make some changes as to how they select members of their mythical team after four of the five members of the squad in the 92nd season turned out to be foreign student-athletes.

Arellano University's Jiovani Jalalon was the lone local athlete in the Mythical Five of Season 92, with Mapua Institute of Technology's Allwell Oraeme, Univeristy of Perpetual Help's Bright Akhuetie, San Beda College's Donald Tankoua, and Emilio Aguinaldo College's Hamadou Laminou joining him in the select team.

Lacson said the league intends to make changes by next season, so that instead of the top five in the statistical race, the Mythical Five will instead be made up of the best players in every position.

Lacson likewise said they may also give out an award for the best foreign student-athlete, which will still be separate from the MVP.

Lacson also revealed that they originally intended to make changes to the Mythical Five selection process ahead of Season 92, but failed to do so. "We did not have the time to do it last year," he admitted. "We completely forgot."
