MANILA, Philippines – La Salle Greenhills went to Unique Naboa in crunch time as it defeated Arellano University, 79-76, to clinch the third seed in the NCAA Season 92 juniors tournament Tuesday at the Arena in San Juan.

Naboa, a 16-year-old point guard from Caloocan, had 21 points, nine of which came in the fourth quarter as the Junior Blazers eclipsed the Braves to seize the No. 3 spot.

La Salle Greenhills will thus play Mapua Institute of Technology in the Final Four, while sending Arellano to a showdown against top-seeded San Beda College.

The Red Cubs and the Red Robins have a twice-to-beat edge in the Final Four after finishing first and second, respectively.

"The boys showed toughness in the final minutes," La Salle Greenhills coach Marvin Bienvenida said after the game.

Down by five points, 65-70, with 3:45 left to play, Naboa scored eight unanswered points to push his team ahead.

His biggest shot came with 58 seconds to go when he knocked down a triple that turned a 72-74 deficit into a 75-74 lead. The Junior Blazers never relinquished the advantage as they held the Braves to only two points the rest of the way.

Guillmer dela Torre, one of the MVP candidates, led the Braves the 20 points but was shackled down the stretch.
