MANILA -- Elijah Millsap, the younger brother of Atlanta Hawks star Paul Millsap, is convinced that San Miguel Beer is ready for the coming PBA Governors’ Cup playoffs.

Millsap had 25 points, 14 rebounds, four assists and a steal in his return as a Beerman last Sunday when they vanquished Blackwater.

“We’re ready, we just gotta do better at the defensive end,” Millsap told the PBA website after they coasted past the Elite, 107-101.

The first time Millsap played for San Miguel was when it was still the Petron Blaze Boosters in 2013. They made it all the way to the finals but bowed to sister team San Mig Coffee Mixers.

He returned to the Beermen’s fold late in the Governors’ Cup to take over the post left by temporary import Mike Singletary.

Millsap said he had no trouble adjusting with his teammates. “It’s all good. We just have to straighten things out for the playoffs and play the way we want to play,” said Millsap.

Millsap is the third import to play for the Beermen this conference since AZ Reid, who had to sit out the remaining games because of an injury.
