Terrence Romeo scored 22 points, including a key basket late in OT to lead TNT to a 118-114 win over Columbian Dyip in the PBA Governors' Cup at Araneta Coliseum on Sunday.

The win stopped TNT's 3-game skid, 2 of those losses by 29 and 30 points. The KaTropa raised their record to 2-3.

Eric Gonzales took over as head coach for TNT in place of Nash Racela, reportedly on an "indefinite leave."

Columbian Dyip sank further down the standings at 0-5.

After a minor dustup with Rashawn McCarthy during a dead ball that saw Romeo plant a head butt on McCarthy, Romeo came up with what turned out to be the game-winning basket — a sneaking, right-handed layup with McCarthy dogging him on defense.

The shot, which put TNT up 117-114 with 58 seconds to go in overtime, adrenalized Romeo who roared at McCarthy as McCarthy was putting the ball in play.

Columbian, which came back from 16 points down and nearly pulled off a win in regulation, crumbled from there, missing a pair of 3-pointers and committing a turnover.

Jayson Castro scored 25 points, as he and Romeo each sank 4 3-pointers each. In all, TNT made an impressive 16 of 39 from downtown (41 percent).

It was a much-needed victory for the KaTropa, who were reeling off back-to-back blowout losses, a skid that reportedly led to Racela being out of the sidelines, according to a report on Spin.ph.

Jerramy King led Columbian with 26 points on an efficient shooting night (10 of 29, 52 percent).
