MANILA, Philippines – Bali Pure is through to the semifinals of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Open Conference after sweeping Pocari Sweat, 25-21, 25-16, 25-23, on Sunday at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

The Water Defenders buckled down to work early to sweep the first two sets, but had to overcome a poor start in the third to complete a straight-sets victory over the defending champions.

With the victory, Bali Pure finished the elimination round with a 4-3 win-loss record, and secured a date with unbeaten top seed Creamline (7-0) in the best-of-three semifinals.

Bali Pure also foiled the BanKo-Perlas Spikers' bid for a playoff for the last Final 4 seat.
