The Spoelstras' first child, son Santiago, was born in 2018, with Coach Spo missing a road game against the Indiana Pacers to be home for the birth.

Spoelstra returned to South Florida on Thursday after attending Heat's summer league games in Sacramento and Las Vegas, where he also worked a coaching clinic.
