MANILA, Philippines -- The TNT KaTropa recently provided financial assistance to the fire survivors in Mandaluyong through the PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF).

The team also joined the distribution of hot meals and grocery packs to the families who are currently staying at the Nueve de Febrero Elementary School and other evacuation centers in Barangay Addition Hills, Mandaluyong City.

Kib Montalbo, JJay Alejandro, and Gryann Mendoza were joined by coaches Mark Dickel and Bong Ravena, as well as team manager Gabby Cui and assistant team manager Miguel Fernandez in the relief effort.

A blaze swept through a residential area in Mandaluyong early this month, leaving 600 families homeless. Two hundred houses were destroyed by the fire, which also killed 69-year-old Mila Taon Carillo, as reported by the Bureau of Fire Protection.

The activity was also done in partnership with Your 200 Pesos, led by Creamline star and beauty queen Michele Gumabao and strength and conditioning coach Aldo Panlilio. The initiative aims to feed families affected by the novel coronavirus pandemic.
