MPBL: From Bulacan to Bacoor, Marlou Aquino finds new home

(UPDATED) The Bacoor City Strikers added significant ceiling to their line-up with the inclusion of a "Skyscraper" on their roster.

Former Barangay Ginebra player Marlou Aquino, who played for the Bulacan Kuyas in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League's (MPBL) inaugural tournament, is teaming up with the Strikers for the league's second conference, which will begin Tuesday.

Joining Aquino are former TNT player Chris Sumalinog, former University of the Philippines Fighting Maroon Mikee Reyes, Gabriel Banal, Leonardo de Vera, Joesel Prudente, John Basanes, Michael Jan Rabor, Mikee Reyes, Mark Montuaño, Eric Acuña, Christian Garcia, Bon Jovi Cipriano, Raymond Maconocido, Rick Maurillo, and Rama Morales.

Reyes, Acuña, and Maconocido are the Strikers' point guards.

Aquino and Montuaño will play center.

Ex-PBA players Banal and De Vera (Kia) and Sumalinog (TNT), former Ateneo Blue Eagle Cipriano, and veteran D-League Morales are the team's scoring forwards.

The team will be coached by Jonathan Reyes, who had a successful stint with the Foton Pampanga Tornadoes.

Team manager is Buddy Encarnado of Sta. Lucia.
