Matindi pala ang pamamagang tinamo ni Rain Or Shine guard Chris Tiu sa kaniyang labi matapos siyang masiko ni Malcolm White ng GlobalPort sa laro nila noong Mayo 20.

Ibinahagi ni Tiu sa Instagram ang hitsura ng injury noong gabi na siya'y masiko pati na ang hitsura nito isang linggo matapos ang salpukan.

"I decided to post this on my main feed for remembrance. The left photo was the night of the incident & right photo was 7 days after," sulat ni Tiu sa caption.

Ayon sa kaniya, iyon na ang pinakamatinding tama na naranasan niya sa paglalaro ng basketball. Maswerte raw at hindi nagkaroon ng kumplikasyon sa kaniyang mukha at utak.

"My doctor, who is a plastic surgeon, said that my tooth ripped through my lip muscle so deep that only the skin was left. They said the impact was so strong and that I was really lucky because there could have been worse complications with the brain & face. He did such a good job stitching me up w/ minimal pain during and after. My guardian angels were surely watching over me!" kuwento ni Tiu.

Aniya, di na rin daw siya dapat pinahintulutang bumalik sa court pagkatapos ng insidente.

"I also realized later that I should not have been allowed to return to play right away since there should have been a concussion protocol," sabi ni Tiu. "I guess this is a lesson for myself, the league and for other athletes."
