The now 19-year-old committed to play for the Blue Eagles a year ago, but was declared ineligible as he did not have the necessary papers to prove that he is a Filipino citizen.

For Tio, he could not wait to prove to the faithful over in Katipunan that their wait was worth it. “I’m very blessed for coach Tab and all of their trust. So I will just try to do my best to repay their trust,” he said.
