MANILA -- Head coach Goldwin Monteverde has moved from Adamson High School to Nazareth School of National University.

It’s not just him and his coaching staff who will be doing some moving, however. Nine players from three different schools will also be transferring along with Monteverde.

All nine were recruited by Monteverde and all but one will be staying in schools coached by Monteverde.

Headlining the massive movement are former UAAP Juniors Rookie of the Year Carl Tamayo and heady guard Gerry Abadiano who suited up last year with the Baby Falcons and will now become a Bullpup.

Chiang Kai Shek College, the other school where Monteverde calls the shots, may also be seeing the exits of long-limbed Robert Minerva and shooter Migs Oczon.

“Pinag-iisipan namin,” Monteverde answered when asked about the two wearing the NU blue and gold on Sunday in the 2017 Filoil Flying V Preseason Tournament.

In turn, the Blue Dragons are set to welcome former Adamson players in versatile veteran EJ Agbong, steady guards Jojo Antiporda and Junjun Asuncion, and scoring wing Jayson Celis.

Encho Serrano – the top young talent in the Philippines according to a poll of coaches, scouts, scribes, and broadcasters – is yet to decide where he will play. “Wala pa e. ‘Di pa kami nagkakausap nang masinsinan,” Monteverde said.

The only player who will not be coached anymore by Monteverde is promising pointman Forthsky Padrigao who is now with Ateneo de Manila High School.

In all, four schools have been affected by Monteverde’s new post.

As for Adamson, former seniors coach Mike Fermin will now be tasked to guide a program which just lost its champion coach and championship-caliber core.
