NLEX fielded an all-Filipino lineup because Tony Mitchell, tapped to replace initial reinforcement Curtis Washington, couldn't secure his playing license in time for the game.

Still, the Road Warriors challenged NorthPort early, going up 43-35 at halftime.

In the third quarter, Bolick exploded for 10 of his 18 points, as NorthPort outscored NLEX 24-14 to take a 59-57 lead going to the fourth.

Prince Ibeh registered 15 points, 19 rebounds and 6 blocks for the Batang Pier, who won despite missing 19 free throws (15 of 34, 44%).

Kenneth Ighalo led NLEX with 18 points, while JP Erram chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds.
