MANILA, Philippines – University of Santo Tomas (UST) bagged the general championship in UAAP Season 79 after finishing grabbing seven first place, nine second place, and three third place trophies.

Meanwhile, Ateneo de Manila University completed the podium, thanks to championship runs in men's volleyball, men's football, men's swimming, and baseball. They also settled for second place in men's basketball, women's volleyball, men's and women's badminton, men's judo, and women's fencing, while taking the third spots in women's football and women's taekwondo.
