Vince Carter said Tuesday he will return for a record-setting 22nd NBA season in 2019-20.

"I'm coming back," the 42-year-old Carter said on his "Winging It" podcast with Atlanta Hawks teammate Kent Bazemore.

Carter currently shares the record of 21 seasons with Robert Parish, Kevin Willis, Kevin Garnett and the recently retired Dirk Nowitzki.

Asked if he would be returning to the Hawks, the eight-time All-Star swingman said it was a possibility.

"I would like to," Carter said. "We'll see what happens."

Carter played in 76 games (nine starts) in his first season with Atlanta in 2018-19, averaging 7.4 points and 2.6 rebounds in 17.5 minutes per game.

The No. 5 pick in the 1998 NBA Draft and the 1998-99 Rookie of the Year boasts career averages of 17.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 1,481 games with the Toronto Raptors, New Jersey Nets, Orlando Magic, Phoenix Suns, Dallas Mavericks, Memphis Grizzlies, Sacramento Kings and Hawks.

Carter ranks fifth in NBA history in games played, sixth in 3-point field goals (2,229) and 20th in points (25,430).
