CEBU CITY – There are six more days to go until Nonito "The Filipino Flash" Donaire faces off against dangerous Hungarian boxer Zsolt Bedak in a super bantamweight fight at the Cebu City Sports Center.

Yet Donaire still found time to bond with his family and celebrate the first birthday of his youngest son, Jarel Logan, on Saturday.

It was an intimate birthday celebration held in an amusement park in Mandaue City along with his family and friends.

Donaire and his wife Rachel joined their sons, Jarel Michael and Jarel Logan, in fun rides and activities at the amusement park, including bumper cars and boat rides.

According to Donaire, his upcoming fight is important, but his family is more important. He added that despite being busy at work, he still makes it a point to spend quality time with his wife and children.

"Gusto ko silang makita na lumaki. Ayaw kong may ma-miss na kahit anong celebration, kasi hindi mo 'yun maibabalik eh," said Donaire.

Donaire, however, assured Filipinos that he will put on a strong performance against Bedak next Saturday.

The Hungarian arrived in Cebu City Saturday afternoon via Dubai and said he is well trained and prepared for the fight.

Bedak also said this is the most important fight of his career, and that he will not waste his opportunity to become a world champion.
