VIGAN—Davao City will host the Palarong Pambansa next year, the Department of Education (DepEd) said Saturday.

DepEd Secretary Leonor Briones said the presidential hometown won the bid to host next year's youth games, beating Zamboanga, Misamis Occidental, and General Santos City.

"This is a whole-day event. We have 4 finalists and so the next Palaro next year will be held in Davao," Briones told reporters.
