Australian brute Adrian Pang is reeling from a 3-fight skid and he wants to snap out of it when he faces one of Team Lakay’s top fighters, former ONE featherweight king Honorio Banario.

Pang, who once lost to former ONE lightweight champion Eduard Folayang, acknowledged that having his back against the wall will be to his advantage versus Banario.

The two will square off in the undercard of ONE: Heroes of Honor at Mall of Asia Arena on April 20.

“It is funny. I have never lost 3 in a row in my career, but here we are,” Pang, 40, said. “Now, I am facing someone who is on a winning streak.”

Banario has experienced a career resurgence since reinventing himself as a lightweight, acing his past 4 ONE outings.

Of Banario, Pang said: “He comes forward, he tries to engage standing, grappling, and everything. Let’s hope he does the same thing here, and we will just collide in the middle. I know he comes to bring it. That whole team does, so I am definitely excited about it.”

With 35 pro bouts under his belt, Pang still wants to prove something.

“I’ve still got it, I believe. I still feel I can keep doing it against the best. I know I came up short in my last few fights, but I am still hungry. The title is out of the question right now. I just want to give fans a good, exciting contests,” he said.
