(UPDATED) NorthPort rolled to its second straight win by dropping Alaska, 94-84, to beef up its playoffs bid in the PBA Philippine Cup on Wednesday at the Araneta Coliseum.

Sean Anthony played consistent basketball with 24 points on 9-of-16 field goal shooting to go with his 17 rebounds.

The Batang Pier also got double-digit outputs from Stanley Pringle, Moala Tautuaa, and Jonathan Grey.

Pringle tallied 21 points while Tautuaa and Grey had 14 and 13, respectively.

After trailing the Aces in the opening quarter 16-19, the Batang Pier made a strong push in the middle quarters to seize a 71-60 lead to the payoff period.

NorthPort then held off Alaska’s rally in the final period to notch for its second straight victory since upsetting TNT KaTropa.

Batang Pier now have a 4-6 record to tie NLEX at seventh spot. With one more game left in the eliminations, NorthPort still has the chance to make it into the top 8 teams that will move to the quarterfinal round.

The Aces fell to 4-7 in their last game in the eliminations. The loss virtually doomed Alaska's chances to advance.

NorthPort 94 - Anthony 24, Pringle 21, Tautuaa 14, Grey 13, Flores 6, Taha 6, Bolick 3, Guinto 3, Elorde 2, Sollano 2, Lanete 0.
