PBA unveils All-Star Game rosters

MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) on Sunday revealed the roster of players for the three different All-Star games that will be played on April 26, 28, and 30.

The PBA travels to Cagayan de Oro on April 26 where Mindanao-born players will face off against the Gilas Pilipinas national team. Gilas players who were born in Mindanao will see action for the "home team" instead.

The home team for the Mindanao leg is composed of the following players: Mark Barroca (Star), Scottie Thompson (Ginebra), PJ Simon (Star), Rafi Reavis (Star), Mac Belo (Blackwater), Jiovani Jalalon (Star), Cyrus Baguio (Phoenix), RR Garcia (San Miguel Beer), Sonny Thoss (Alaska), Carlo Lastimosa (NLEX), Glenn Khobuntin (NLEX), Baser Amer (Meralco), and Troy Rosario (TNT KaTropa).

The Mindanao team will be coached by Star's Chito Victolero.

Meanwhile, Gilas Pilipinas will feature: Terrence Romeo, LA Revilla, Mike Tolomia, Roger Pogoy, Matthew Wright, Kevin Ferrer, Carl Bryan Cruz, Ponso Gotladera, Brawdyn Guinto, June Mar Fajardo, and Norbert Torres.

The Luzon leg will be hosted in Lucena on April 28, where side events such as the Slam Dunk Contest and the Three-Point Shootout will also be held.

The PBA All-Star team for the Luzon leg is composed of the following players: Marc Pingris (Star), Japeth Aguilar (Ginebra), Calvin Abueva (Alaska), Paul Lee (Star), Jayson Castro (TNT), Mark Caguioa (Ginebra), Alex Cabagnot (SMB), LA Tenorio (Ginebra), Marcio Lassiter (SMB), Arwind Santos (SMB), Ranidel de Ocampo (TNT), Stanley Pringle (GlobalPort).

The team will be coached by San Miguel coach Leo Austria.

The Gilas players who will play in the Luzon leg are: Tolomia, Almond Vosotros, Daquioag, Jonathan Grey, Allein Maliksi, Wright, Ferrer, Cruz, Torres, Guinto, Raymond Almazan, and Arnold Van Opstal.

Finally, the PBA travels to Cebu on April 30.

The home team is composed of: James Yap (Star), Fajardo (SMB), Romeo (GlobalPort), Joe Devance (Ginebra), Jeff Chan (Rain or Shine), Chris Ross (SMB), Chris Ellis (Ginebra), Aldrech Ramos (Star), Dondon Hontiveros (Alaska), Ronald Tubid (SMB), Asi Taulava (NLEX), and Jericho Cruz (Rain or Shine).

Tim Cone will call the shots for the Visayas All-Star team.

The Gilas Pilipinas team for the Visayas game is composed of: Castro, Jalalon, Revilla, Pogoy, Maliksi, Von Pessumal, Belo, Rosario, Abueva, Almazan, and Aguilar.
