Former boxing champion Ana "The Hurricane" Julaton has called it quits after 11 years in combat sports.

In an emotional Instagram post, the former boxer-MMA fighter said she has decided to "move forward to her next journey."

"I am officially retiring from professional fighting. Thank you everyone. I'm truly humbled and deeply honored for you all allowing me into your lives and hearts," she said. "I'm forever grateful."

Julaton, the former WBO and IBA women's super bantamweight champion, said she reached the decision after a lengthy discussion with her promoter and adviser, Allan Tremblay.

"I told him it was time for me to move on from fighting," she said.

"As a competitor inside the ring and cage, I'm confident in leaving combat sports fully knowing there are so many wonderful, passionate and hardworking women continuing to carry the torch as a guiding light for the bright future of our arena."

After achieving success in boxing, the 37-year-old Filipino-American decided to try out MMA by signing with ONE Championship.

Julaton went 2-2 under ONE before signing with Bellator in 2017.

She ended her career with a 14-4-1 record in boxing and a 2-4 win-loss slate in MMA.
