MANILA -- Columbian Dyip's super rookie CJ Perez is set to wed his longtime girlfriend soon.

But instead of pushing through with the wedding, Perez decided to temporarily forego the ceremony and donated P25,000 to the PBA for its game-day employees following the indefinite postponement of the games due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Bigger than the game. Teammates for life. I’m donating P25,000 to our PBA family,” said Perez through his Instagram account.

Perez joined Jeffrey Cariaso, Chris Ross and Cliff Hodge among PBA personalities who have extended help to the game-day employees.

Cariaso, a PBA legend and current Alaska Aces head coach, initiated the move on Wednesday. He pledged to donate P100,000 to game-day personnel who are affected by the suspension of the league's season.

San Miguel's Ross and Hodge of Meralco followed suit. The two each promised to donated P20,000 each.
